Alicia Keys' life to be dramatised
Broadcaster UPN Alicia Keys has revealed plans to create a new TV drama based loosely on Alicia Keys' struggle to become a successful musician.
The as-yet-unnamed production will loosely chart Keys' childhood and teenage years growing up in the Hells Kitchen district of New York. The story will focus on the 24-year-old's upbringing to a white mother and black father, who split when Keys was two, and her trips to Harlem as a teen while she was studying classical piano.
Keys will serve as executive producer for the series, which is being written by Falicia Henderson of 'The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air' fame.
